Apron

A dental apron or diagnostic apron is a device worn by a patient during dental examinations to protect them from contamination and dental debris. The apron is usually made of waterproof and antibacterial materials and is easy to clean. Aprons are used for personal protective equipment and to protect the doctor and patient from secretions and the risks of cross-infection. These items include dental aprons, long medical aprons, gloves, masks, goggles and covers, and in areas such as the operating room may also include the use of gowns and caps.
